Drawbotics is a Belgian scale-up founded 5 years ago with the aim of positively impacting the home buying and selling process through innovation and technology. With offices in Brussels, London and Paris, Drawbotics has quickly grown into one of the fastest growing scale-ups in the Proptech industry. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team and fuel our growth.
You have a track-record of shipping well-tested and comprehensive code for at least 3 years.
You've been learning and don't want to stop now. Your are curious & eager to learn every single day.
You obsess over details, but can see the bigger picture. Simplicity is what drives your work (and your code!).
You've worked extensively on Backends in OOP languages and in Ruby (we use Ruby on Rails as our main backend framework).
You are familiar with the concept of Continuous Integration/Delivery and have some experience in such an environment.
You are excited to solve complex problems in sophisticated web applications.
Smart, productive and immune to sarcasm.
Help our company enter our scaling phase. Build with the future in mind.
Have an impact on the team's technical decisions.
Work on, and really own, a part of the company's infrastructure.
Join an international team in the most European city - Brussels - or work remotely #weWereCoolBeforeCovid
Freedom and support: we are allergic to micromanagement and office politics, but we love to teach, share and learn.
The right tools for the job. We'll hook you up with the setup you need, and feel free to suggest and educate the rest of the team on softwares or new techs if you deem it necessary.
Weekly lunches, happy hours, sports & other activities.
Free time every week to work on open source projects, preferably with your teammates, to explore new technologies, new frameworks, or just to solve an internal dilemma.
What really matters is what you can show us. We want to meet you and talk about code and products you shipped, that is what matters at the end of the day. In order to take a look at your tech skills we are asking you to show in your application at least one project where we can read and look at the code. Applications missing this requirement will automatically be discarded.
We are flexible and open to remote work (thanks pandemic!) but please note that in that case we are looking for at least 5 hours of overlap with CEST time and that we can only hire candidates on a self-employed basis.
If this sounds like you we are looking forward to read you!
